Emmons for 22 years where they milked cows, farmed and had six children. She married Lawrence Allen Young on June 9, 1950, in the Salt Lake Temple. Both of her sisters passed away at early ages, so Alma was raised as an only girl with three protective brothers and doting parents. A baby sister Barbara Myrl was born after Alma. Graveside service will be immediately afterward at the Ivins CemeteryĪrrangements and memorial tree planting by Serenity Funeral Home of Southern Utah. Hold onto his smile, jokes and love for hot dogs We encourage everyone to find humor in the good days and the bad like Chad always did. Chad will now have a joyful reunion with his loving Heavenly Father, his grandparents and his dad Bruce.Ĭhad was larger-than-life and it is hard to adequately describe him in such a short space. He had cousins that were best friends and of course his friends that are family, always. He always offered the best advice - and his inappropriate jokes kept the room bright and happy.Ĭhad is survived by his loving wife Christeen his sons Anthony, Kson (Christa), Jackson and Weston his mother Christy Neilson father Jim McArthur his in-laws Brad and Lorri Stapley his brothers Ryan (Jeannette), Taylor (Tammy), Cory (Brooke) his sisters Irene, Amanda, Heather (Dan) and Kariann (JD).Ĭhad also had an army of doting nieces and nephews who will miss their Uncle Chad telling them to “do your homework. He could pick anyone up from the lowest of lows. He understood and never judged another human for their shortcomings. His work family will miss his huge presence and quality surveying.Ĭhad found comfort in the LDS church over the last few years. He took pride in his job and loved the people he worked for. Recently he worked for DSG (Development Solutions) and always bragged about the amazing scenery he got to call his “office.” There is a lot of ground his hands have touched around Southern Utah. Every moment with his family gave him life.Ĭhad’s sister Amanda helped him get a job with Brown Consulting Engineering which was when his career in land surveying began. Chad found a lot of peace fishing up on Cedar Mountain or at the lake near his home. He encouraged everyone to try paintballing (as if we all wanted to get pelted with paintballs and compare welts). The paintball trips he took with his sons and his teammates were some of his greatest memories. Many friendships were formed on the battlefield. His boys were undoubtedly the most treasured parts of his life.Ĭhad’s paintball community pushed him to live life to the fullest. Chad lived for the moments he could be with his sons doing what they loved: paintballing, fishing, and enjoying the mountain air. And Christeen raised Anthony like he was her own. Chad instantly bonded with Christeen’s son Kson. Chad also brought his amazing son Anthony into his new family. Chad and Christeen fell deeply in love and they had a partnership that he cherished with every part of his soul. He rocked out to songs only he understood in his Black Death Mitsubishi as the oil burned intensely from the muffler.Ĭhad caught the attention of Christeen at State Bank in Santa Clara. He and his cousin Kenny could tear up a mosh pit. Even as he became “older” he still skated like he was a pro! He had a love for screamo music. Our Neilson family gatherings will never be the same without his loving way of teasing everyone, particularly his nieces and nephews.Ĭhad was an avid rollerblader. He made our family laugh endlessly, which made for the best bond between us. Growing up in a blended family Chad always brought his siblings together. Later his parents separated, and he was affectionately raised by his dad Bruce Neilson. He was born to Christine Larsen Neilson and Jim McArthur on April 29, 1978, in California. Chad Michael Neilson, the best husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend, left this earthly life on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
